Hi Guys

Just a quickie, but i've just found out today that I have won a competition and have won a 8 day cruise in the South pacific with P&O cruises, anyway what I just wanted to check is with being on a work visa is there any problems leaving the country for 8 days and then getting back in? Do I have to do anything, let NZI know etc? I really, really hope not hehe

Hi Alison,

As long as you have a work visa, you can come and go without issue. If you only have the permit, you will just need to apply for the visa to go with it.

If you have the visa, make sure it stipulates that it is multiple entry, else you could come unstuck! If applying, make sure you apply for a multiple entry visa.

I have a big 'Work Visa' sticker in my passport and then the 'work permit' that was stamped in there upon arrival at AKL, and it does state multiple entries, and my son has a 'Student visa' sticker and then the permit stamp, along with multiple entries on his visa as well, so all is looking hunky dory!!!

This is the cruise for anyone that is interested P&O Cruises Australia - R803
