Weather in Nelson in April.

Would anyone be kind enough to tell me what kind of weather we could expect in april. Recieved notification of emirates special offer flights to new zealand today. Was supposed to be going to thailand in March, am now thinking could we change tickets and come to NZ instead on a fact finding mission. Would be grateful for any information.

April is usually the turning point in the weather in NZ. It will still be reasonably mild, and there will be a lot of great days, but expect to see a few rain downpours!!
