    Default Tax rebate

    Hi folks, has anybody from the UK claimed a tax rebater back after they immigrated ? if so how did you do it, we are struggling to find an easy way to get this done, any advise is welcome

    I don't know if this is any help but there is an online form for claiming tax rebates but it's not usable if you're not resident in the UK. In that case they say you must contact them .

    I had a tax rebate from the UK after we had immigrated. We had kept our UK accountant who put in the returns as usual, I got a rebate, and then we handed the whole to our NZ accountant. Although it worked, I would have thought there was an easier way of doing it. Last year they insisted I still fill in a return, which was done - 00000 throughout.
