Hi Fastidea and welcome to the forum.

Yes, unfortunately I'm afraid you will need to do your medicals again. They are only valid for 3 months and, if you want to make a PR application INZ will want to see a new report.

I don't know what a PCC is so I can't advise what you should do about it.

Police certificates are valid for 6 months so it depends when in May they were done. I guess you'll need one from NZ, anyway, as you've lived there for the last 6 months.

It's just occured to me that you will need to submit your police certificate with your ITA, not your EOI, so that will mean it will be out of date by the time you submit the ITA. In that case, yes, you will need a new one.

The NZQA is the body that assesses qualifications for INZ. It would be worth asking them if your certificate is worth any points. I wouldn't like to say, myself, as it was only a 1-year course, but I'm sure they will let you know.

Its me again,my police check has come back and there is one minor offence on it from 21 years ago. I was conditionaly discharged for 12 months and fined ?14.00 cost. Do you or any of the other members know if this will affect my application or tell me where I can find out.

    In a word 'No'.

INZ are only concerned with more serious offences and yours is rather a long time ago. Can you imagine how empty of migrants NZ would be if everyone who had a minor traffic offence was turned down?

And no I'm not - high, that is.

Sorry about that M.B. I only got my police check back today and have been in a bit of a state, even my pal who is a policeman told me minor things are taken off your record after ten years, so when I opened the letter it gave me a bit of a fright. I feel a little bit better now, once again thanks for your help. Joe.
