Hi,
I am planning to come to New Zealand, since I am talking about a plan, I can say that I am new to this forum :). I have been accepted to a PhD ) program in a university in New Zealand and planning to come around November. Right now, visa is my major concern: I do not have any idea/information about how to apply for visa. Probably I will get some documents from my school, but right now I do not have any documents. My question is that: what kind of visa I should apply? Can I apply for citizenship? What is the status for PhD students in New Zealand (employee, student, or something else)?
I appreciate any kind of help (I did not know how/where to start).

Applying for a student visa

I wouldn't wait for the university to tell you what you need; better to be proactive and let them know what you need!
