Also well done to Taffy and Welshgirl- I couldn't imagine anyone in the UK giving up their home like that- what troopers you both are.

Just had to post that little contribution there coz Gaz brought me my scrummy Mexican dinner when I was mid-scribing and the system was about to boot me off when i returned.

Yes, so, where was I? Ah yes, nicey,wicey folksies. Yes, Taffy and WG are very, very helpful and topmostest people. We met Deb D when we were up in Auckland as well and she's another lovely jubbly person. She is in person, exactly as she sounds on the forum! She is gorgeous and jolly, all smiles and jingly bangles and her children are just scrummy. They made us feel very welcome even though we arrived in the middle of little Isaacs birthday party. Thanks Deb and we're sorry we couldn't stay longer would have liked to have had a sit down and a nice cup of tea with you and got to know you a bit better.

The same thing goes for all you peeps that we didn't get round to as well. We would have really liked to spend time with all of you but we really didn't figure on how just how little time we would have in each place. We are vair vair sad we didn't make it on down to yous lot in that there South Island. We really wanted to see Nelson and Cch and you folks down there (KH don't you drink that Cab Sau) but we will come on down for a olibob when we get visas and such. Now I know you're crossing your fingers that we won't make it!

Bought a car today (another big lickety wet kiss to Taf and WG of course because she held the umbrella) I can't remember what it is - one of those ones with four wheels and an engine, so we will be able to get about a little more easily now. Bloody campervans do not help you to integrate into NZ life because they don't fit in any car parks except camp site ones and the camp sites are a whole different world believe me. Some of them are very good and most of them aren't. I'm in half a mind to write an 'Honest Guide to New Zealand Campsites', I'm pretty sure it would be a best seller. That's a whole different thread in itself.

So, here we are, had to resort to sitting in an internet cafe to make our posts on here - Dawn has changed the locks on the house and has bouncers at the bottom of the driveway who have strict instructions not to let anyone named Taffy or WG onto 'their' property. Donations for a new home for us could previously have been sent to our bank account but Dawn has changed our passwords and we can't access our accounts any more

My initial interpretation of Dawn's post was that they had all found Taffy's wine cellar, thought that the end of the world must be nigh, and decided all those bottles of wine should not go to waste.

Be honest Dawn! What are Taffy and WG REALLY like? Funny how they were no where to be found when Bermy Girl and I hit town! After meeting us in person in Auckland, I wonder if Red Alligator sent them a warning to get out of town - fast! She has been awfully quiet on the forum. I hope we didn't scare her too much. Or maybe Taffy's friend Paul gave him a call when he excused himself from coffee to go to the little boy's room...

Bermy Girl, I think that maybe Hamilton might be the town for us. You know how we like a challenge!!

Anyone else interested in moving to Hamilton?

Seriously, I truly wanted to meet Taffy, WG and Dawn. Red Alligator and her OH were lovely and I wish we had had more time. When we finally get to NZ I would like to take some time to just ENJOY life for a little bit - can't take too much time as the bills would not get paid.
