Default Food n stuff you miss or will miss

Hi everyone, doing a little bit of research. I would like to knowwhat people miss since moving to to NZ . I am looking more at food and magazines, stuff you can't get in NZ, some people miss certain tea bags. I also want people who haven't yet moved, to tell me what they will miss or would love to be able to get hold of on a regular basis.
This is not just for Brits but all nationalities.
    Thanks
    Vee

Not there yet, but I'm sure I will miss

BBQ ribs & beef brisket (I can make it myself, but it's just not the same!)
Dunkin' Donuts coffee (anyone who leaves New England misses it!)
Pizza (I refuse to believe that I can get pizza in NZ as good as the pizza I get here where it is an art form)
Fried clams, whole, from Bob's Clam Hut in Kittery, Maine

On balance, I'd say it's a fair trade!

    from a UK perspective...................

    1. Bisto gravy granules - nothing gets even close
    2. Daddys Tomato Sauce - closest we have found is Watties light.
    3. Seabrooks crisps - It's a Northerner thing!

Jacky says only 2 things she misses - green & blacks chocolate (but he has found a "dealer" here now anyway) , and Body Shop's Sugaring leg wax stuff (obviously not a foodstuff!)

UK Hello is magazine is available - but Jacky seems far more removed from all the s&*te of pseudo famous faces in these trash mags. She is more likely to read fishing news, well maybe not!

    Cheers

    Nick

KH: Actually, we've had some wonderful pizzas in NZ. They might not be a New England style, but I'm sure you'll adapt.

Golden Wonder Cheese & Onion crisps
Duck wrapped in pancakes that you get from the Chinese with the plum sauce, they just dont seem to do it here.
    Proper bagels
    Crispy rolls

As for magazines I dont really miss any as the ones I really loved in the UK I can get here i.e. The Good Food Magazine. Admitedly I pay top whack for it but at least I can get it.

I was recently asked what I miss about things in the UK. I couldn't honestly remember anything, because I'm used to everything here now, and like what's available. My last trip back the UK proved that the things I thought I missed, I actually didn't like any more as they didn't taste like the NZ stuff!

You can get most anything you want here, even UK stuff. Mcvities bickies too!

As a few people have mentioned, it's more the prepared stuff I miss, than the packet stuff. I.e. you can't get decent pie and chips, chinese food isnt as nice etc etc.

Sorry, I'm no help at all
