    Default Tickets are booked!

We are flying from Chicago to San Francisco to Auckland to Christchurch ... OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE!?!

Seriously, that is the itinerary. We leave on July 24th, land on July 26th. I've booked us lodging for a week at Central Park Motor Lodge.

Hopefully it won't take us too long to find a house to rent and get the broadband hooked up so my wife can start working.

Of course, with every sweet there must be a little sour--I found out that it is going to take 75 days for my shipping container to make its way from Boston to Lyttelton! I'll be eating sandwiches on paper plates and sleeping wrapped in newspapers for a month! And, you know what ... I don't even care!

No, we're of a simiilar mind KH! We'll be living in closer quarters than we have done for years - that'll be fun! Lauren's already having palpitations at the thought of not being able to throw herself in her room and rack her music up REALLY loud!!

Oh well, there you go! I guess we're all going to find out a few new things in the weeks to come!!

Congratulations on moving a step further, KH. You're locked in now and the only way is forward.

    That sounds better.

Did I miss the bit on how you manage to slurp a cup of tea/coffee through all that? Good grief, a burglar could clean the place out and you'd never know until it was too late.

    Hi there,

Congratulations! I am sooo jealous! I am ready to leave now but I have no choice but to wait until early next year I have already decided when I am going to give my job notice!!!

I was wondering if you would mind PM'ing me and telling me who you are using in Boston to ship your container. I received a ridiculous quote from Bermuda to ship a 20' container to NZ. I mean RIDICULOUS! If I could find out what the cost would be to ship a container from Boston then I could just use the Bermuda freight forwarder to ship my container to Boston. Mind you, they would probably have to unload my things from one container and into a new container. Not sure how that would work out. My mother lives in Fall River so maybe she could oversea that transfer.

Anyway, any information would be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Shell

You'll be fine, as I'm sure you know, KH. Here's an early Bon Voyage wish
