The NZIS site is not the easiest to negotiate, so whatever questions arise from reading things on there, just shout and we'll rush to comfort you because we get lost on there as well.

Question Got that one....
I know thats what I apply under.... I just wanted to know who do I go and see.... where do I get forms.... and so on.
Also would like to know about the medical and checks and stuff like that.

See before I accidentally stumbled upon this forum.... I was lost. I had no idea about half of what I know know.

Reading really has helped and its just fantastic that it exists.

Do you live in NZ?

Thanks mother bear....

Its just that everything has a proceedure and bureaucracy is at its highest peak in matters such as this and I am not.... great at internet surfing!

The prospect is daunting even though I do see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Steps to apply .

This is the form to apply for PR . You would need to look for the bits that apply to you and the form should guide you through by telling you what you need to send with the application.

Taffy is in NZ and I'm....not.

I came here with my husband's work, Tia, and we're in the Muscat governerate, living not too far from Seeb airport. Been here 3 1/2 years now. It is beautiful although they seem to be either digging the place up to put in storm drains everywhere due to people dying during the one or two torrential bouts of rain we have every year or they are building, building, building to make lots of money, having no doubt got the idea from Dubai

Regarding the Returning Residents Visa (RRV), you automatically get this in your passport when you are awarded PR. It allows you to go in and out of NZ and is valid for 2 years. If you comply with the conditions of your PR, one of which is that you remain in NZ for 6 months of each of the first 2 years, then you will, hopefully, after the 2 years is up, be granted an Indefinite Returning Residents Visa (IRRV) and that means you can come and go as you please.

We live just outside of sunny Hamilton, in a mouthful of a place called Ngaruawahia (Pronounced similar to Narrower Here) in the heart of the Waikato. Go the Cheifs!!
