Man I havent even been on here since August, completely forgot about site but I just got an email to my hotmail saying someone had replied!

I have been to Whangarei twice, had a penpal up there when I was aged 12-19!!!

I hear people think it is hard to get into groups of friends here, which is such a shame, I am such a welcoming person and cant believe people dont WELCOME newbies!

I have made some great friends. Had fish n chip nite at the beach with 6 friends on Fri nite, 6 of them I had met off the internet(one from USA, 1 Aussie, 4 UK).

I am on facebook heaps, too much, shocking! I also have an advert on Auckland Classifieds - Jobs in Auckland, Flats to rent, Goods For Sale Christchurch, friends.

Welcome to Christchurch, or HELLO Christchurch is the best city (if you are thinking of moving here!

hee hee, yeah couple of beers, gorgeous down at Sumner, but yes would've got a bit of sand in my mouth! Sumner Seafoods, the BEST fish n chips i have ever had!

Ahh so thats the name of the place, had heard it was the best ever, where in Sumner is it? I may need to take a trip down and try it for myself

Hey

What a nice idea!

Well me and my family will be moving to Christchurch next year.

As my hubby doesnt have a job offer i know that the visa will take about a year to get sorted, well on average.

We are planning to live just outside Christchurch in Rangiora.
But we are still in the planning stages of it all. But once we have our visa sorted, it would be great to meet up with anyone in the Christchurch area.

Cool, so where abouts in glasgow were you from??

We really cant wait til its all sorted :) But its alot of hard work and some stressful times. Selling up is gonna be hard!!!

Been doing alot of research in all different areas of NZ, and initially we thought Wellington would be better, but after careful decision making, C'Church has won it for us.

I guess the kids like the idea of having better weather in the summer but still getting the occasional snow to play in over the winter lol

My only concern is work, but hopefully we will get jobs once we get there. Hubby is in IT, so hopefully he will find something!!

and my main fear was not getting diet irn bru
But you do
Hubbys sad though cos you dont get tennents lager
Well you do get it in Scottish pub in Picton,i think he really considerd a move to there,when he discovered this
So youve decided on Chch.Rangoira is a nice place,plenty shops
