Am i just hoping or is the photo on the home page taken from the top of Mt Maunganui?

Ah, yes. ?I think this is where things get a bit confusing. ?If you click on Home at the top, it takes you back to the main menu and not to the Home Page. ?If you want to visit the Home Page you have to click on Back to Website at top right of the screen in red.

It would take a keen eye for someone to suss this out. ?

The walk up the mount, puff puff.
Yeah great pictures Taffy and Welshgirl. This place never ceases to amaze me. There is always something going on around that lump.
Kiteboarders, guys gliding about under parachutes, little radio controlled airplanes off the top. Lots of tourists, taking pictures, including me.
Its fun to watch the container ships passing, can't wait to see the cruise ships coming in.
We love all the coffee shops at the bottom and once on a walk out on that little spit of land which features in the picture we sat watching blue penguins.

Thank you thank you thank you driver for making your comments about sitting watching little blue penguins - my husband said that I was seeing things when I told him that I'd seen a penguin on the sand by the harbour as I was driving home across the causeway to Otumoetai/Matua yesterday - he told me to stay off the magic mushrooms (not that I really do indulge obviously!!!) ?;D
