I am already tempted to get a car even though I mentioned that I will try my best to ride a bicycle to work for health benefits. Of course I will still do that and the car will only be for longer drives (fold my bike and throw in the boot) and weekends.

Perhaps you would need a car to take your family around, Pulsarblu? I don't think they will all fit on the bike. :icon_wink:

There's a common theory around here that the smaller the town the cheaper the car.

I'm heading off to Napier in a few weeks to sight see.....and car shop :icon_biggrin:

That's a great idea...seems like that's true here in Florida too...we got one of our vehicles at a better price in a smaller city.
I would be eagerly waiting to hear your report! I thought I could tough it out sharing one vehicle with my husband...but the last 3 weeks were hell when my car was in the shop. It was finally fixed and I have my beloved red Toyota Celica back!!!! But...we have to sell both vehicles when we leave and start over again in six weeks or so! It would be awesome if I could afford to have my own car, even if it is not as fancy as the one I have now....just something that runs and is reliable!

That's superb news, hopefully the prices will stay down until we get over there on the 10th Aug so we can get a wee run around :icon_biggrin:
