NZ's version of premium bonds

For those who hate losing on the lotto, have with a little money about, or thinking of a gift, I have just found out that there is a NZ version of Premium Bonds - called Bonus Bonds. www.bonusbonds.co.nz

It works in the same way as Premium Bonds (buy bonds which enter a draw each month), but with lower prizes than the UK - the top three are $300,000, $100,000 and $50,000.

Sounds like a good idea, Glenda, but I assume it's only available to those living in NZ. ?Perhaps I could persuade Taffy and WG to buy some bonds on our behalf. ?

Must say I'm a bit unnerved by a clause in the Prospectus under the heading 'No Guarantee of Repayment' which says 'The Trustee does not guarantee the repayment of the Units or the payment of any earnings or prizes on the Units'. ?What's that all about? ?

A nice little windfall would come in very handy to fund the renovations we want to do on the house. ?Something to look forward to each month although I must admit to not being very lucky in this type of thing. ?Still, one can but try. :D
