Default Confusing email from Immi

Hello,

I am so confused, I have rcvd an email from mailto OnlineTeam@dol.govt.nz from the Working Holiday Online Team from NZ immi saying 'Now that you have your Visa...blah blah blah' and so on but the immi site only says its rcvd our medicals and our application and our application is still pending.

Is this norm? Does this mean our Visas have been approved but the site hasnt been updated yet?

Can anyone shed any light?

Cheers

If your Visa has arrived it should be in your account at the Immi site. This was the case for us anyway. Not sure if it is the same for a 23mth one tho.

Not sure if this is any help at all. [smiley=icon_mrgreen.gif]

That's what I thought but it's not in our account it still says pending??

Did you get an email from immi about work options as well? That's what our email was about... [smiley=icon_confused.gif]

This is what it said:

Working Holiday Schemes Online

RE: Finding work in New Zealand

Thank you for applying online for your working holiday visa or permit. We hope that it has created a good start to your working holiday in New Zealand.

Now that you have your visa or permit you may like to find out a bit more information on the work opportunities that are waiting for you here in New Zealand or if you are already here a possible first or second job.

There are a great range of seasonal and temporary work opportunities available from the various regions around New Zealand that will be able to provide you with some very useful travel income. These work options will also allow you to experience life in one of our bigger cities, or if you prefer some time away from the bright lights you might want to spend time in parts of New Zealand that are off the beaten tourist track.

To help you research what is available in the way of work in New Zealand ? either in advance or on your arrival ? we have put together a list of websites. Most of the sites on the list are free to use, some are specifically job sites and others will give you a range of information that will help with travel planning and entertainment.

Go to www.immigration.govt.nz/whswork to check out the websites.
Good luck with the job hunting and enjoy your time in New Zealand.
Kind regards

The Working Holiday Online team

Sounds to me like they think you already have your visa. Can't even say it's 'crossed in the post' if you're expecting to get it online. Very strange. Perhaps give them a day or two to get their act together, otherwise you'd need to check it out with them. [smiley=017.gif]

It's really baffled me. Helen (The Waters') says she got an email last night as well from them saying the same thing?

I was wondering if it was a spam email maybe? Stu never got one and both our apps still say pending this morning as well....

I've replied to the email asking if I have my Visa or not so just waiting on a reply...very odd!

Don't know why you folks don't just ring the NZIS in NZ straight. That's all I did whenever I got a really baffling situation. It's only the london embassy one that costs a quid a min. The NZ is just a 0064 number that you'll pay international rates for.
I would defintiely ring them as there's obviously been some confusion somewhere.

Whew! Congrats, Lil Amy. I'm glad the confusion was brief, and that it ended nicely.
