    Default Social work in NZ

    Hi,
I've got a skilled migrant visa and plan to leave for New Zealand soon - I am a qualified and registered Social Worker in the UK and am wondering if it is worthwhile trying to get registered as a Social Worker in New Zealand before I go. Any Advice?
    Thanks - Chris

    Hi Gilly,

Just wanted to [img:68a2f3fd14]http://bestsmileys.com/welcome/16.gif[/img:68a2f3fd14] you to the forum. Good to have you with us.

As for your query, do you know whether you NEED to be registered in NZ? Teachers do, but I'm not sure about social workers. I would assume anything that helps you to get a decent job would be an OK thing to do.

Thanks for that - I agree that it may not be a bad thing - just wondered whether it was worth the money involved. Chris
