    Default Urban design

    Being a relatively young country, I wondered whether the architecture and urban design in NZ would be boring/dull compared to, say, the UK where a lot of the towns and cities are much older.

    Do the towns/cities lack character?

    Default Urban design

    There are a lot of new and innovative architects here in NZ. On an everyday basis the country lacks deep history and can be reminiscent (for me at least) of the wild west. I can just see the tumbleweed barrelling down
    the main street of many a NZ township. The most startling and notable aspect of buildings here is the use of dazzling colours particularly on commercial buildings. Bring your sunglasses!
