the whole tax credit issue was covered in a post that I started sometime last summer.

Anyway, residents are allowed to claim tax credits and there is no wait. If you are working you can claim!

My OH ex husband never paid a penny whilst we were in the Uk, now he sends money whenever the kids ask for it. The OH takes a cut unbeknown to him but with the full knowledge and approval of the kids.
As for Family allowance no wait if you have pr. We have four : 16,14,12,5 and we get $200 per week. Makes quite a difference i can tell you.

Dawn!! You didn't look in the newly formed Glossary of Abbreviations which is on a sticky at the top of this forum. :angry:
