I recently signed up with this organisation - as my old mum was regularly hears to say: "Every little helps - said the old lady as she piddled in the sea."

Glad that someone's trying to do something about it. All I hear is people complaining (me included) about the hoons and the level of noise they generate. They've got away with it for too long and the problem seems to be increasing. Hopefully, if enough people complain and it's brought to the notice of the powers-that-be, then something might be done about it. Firstly though, the government needs to change it's mindset, that hoons are just 'boys being boys'. The noise they make encroaches on everyday life and makes for frustrated and angry residents/citizens. And we have to consider the danger they impose on the roads whilst racing around. How many more people have to die before action is taken? Set aside space for racetracks in various out-of-the-way areas, where they can congregate and do their thing without interrupting and endangering the lives of others. A bit of give and take on both sides.

So if boys can be boys, can a cranky old bat like me be a cranky old bat, and pepper their hoon-mobiles with birdshot? Not that i would, but I love to imagine. Ah, imagination is a wonderful thing. I'll join you on that one.

Just wondering, if the bill does get passed, what will they turn to next to make themselves look (and sound) cool :icon_eek: ?
