Valentine's Day

Bit of an expensive day for me. Card and present for the wife naturally, but my son and daughter (12 years apart) have a birthday. To add to all this said daughter Daisy starts school. It is a weird system whereby children start school on their fifth birthday here in NZ, it can't be too easy on the 1st year teacher, having to go back over well trodden ground all the time. Daisy's class has just 9 children at the moment, by the end of the year it could be in excess of 20. The local press have taken a photo of her in her spanking new school uniform, she is tiny (3 months prem.) and still wearing age 3 clothing for the most part. I think she is incredibly cute but that's what every proud father thinks eh?

Yes, does sound a bit labour intensive if the teacher has to repeatedly go back over old ground time and again. Must be boring for those bright sparks that want to get on and do something new although I guess it gives the slower ones a chance to catch up.
