Default When is the best time?

I am planning on arriving in NZ around June/July/Aug 2007 on a WHV. I was wondering when the best time would be to fly out there and to buy a plane ticket? I am just going to buy a one way ticket and am hoping for the cheapest fair.

Thanks,
Mike

Often, the sooner you book the cheaper the ticket, but it then ties you to that date and might cause a problem if you need to change your plans later on. It gets pricier as the plane fills up.

Adding to that, I would imagine flying down to NZ during their winter months (June/July/August) would be cheaper as it's off-peak then.

Can you buy a one-way on a WHV? I thought you had to have PR. Anyway, if you must have an onward ticket, it could just be to Oz.
