Lost innocence?

New proposals put forward by the UK government mean that children as young as 5 will receive advice/information on relationships and sex. According to some UK experts, this could lower the rate of teenage pregnancies in the UK. Some, however, argue that this will only increase sexual activitity further.

I'm sure it'll come in very handy when the kiddiewinkies are cuddled up at night with Big Ted and Barbie. Dear me, it just gets worse! :icon_rolleyes: [smilie=no.gif] They start plenty young enough as it is. What do they say.....'A little knowledge is a dangerous thing'?

Perhaps the UK government should consider the possibility that the reason why the UK has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe is because they encourage it!! All the state handouts and sex on tv/in magazines/newspapers certainly don't help IMO.

I think it's also a cultural issue. It's not seen as cool to be inexperienced. I haven't had a serious grilfriend and I'm 23 :icon_redface: but then I'm not exactly like most other people - I refuse to conform. :icon_biggrin:
