Any tips on a 2 week holiday in Australia?

After I'm finished with my job in Auckland I'm thinking of going to Aussie for 2 weeks, before moving to Wellington. I'm in this part of the world, and still haven't made it over there.

Seems like now is the perfect time (in between jobs, moving cities).

I'll be flying into Melbourne. I don't really care about going to Sydney, but other places along the southern area I'd like to go to. Perhaps Tasmania as well.

Any one have some tips on what I should do, where some really cool places are, etc?




And don't worry. It's extremely unlikely that I'll fall in love with Australia and want to move there and apply for residency all over (in a country that's more strict than NZ). :icon_cool:
