If I have a Degree - an Associate of Applied Science from Idaho State University in Engineering Design Technology does that count as 50 points?

Default Points System

See here for the list of recognised institutions
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rd...5A9/0/1080.pdf

If your institution is not on the list, you would first need to get your qualifications assessed before you could claim any points for them

[quote:f9c46f57ea]Bachelors degrees requiring 3 or more years of full time study from degree granting institutions accredited by
the following listed bodies are assessed as occupying Level 7 of the Register and will therefore qualify for 50
points.
Masters degrees and PhDs from degree granting institutions accredited by the following listed bodies are
assessed as occupying Level 9 or 10 of the Register and will therefore qualify for 55 points, provided the
holder of the qualification also obtained their undergraduate (Bachelors) degree from an accredited degree
granting institution. If the Masters degree is not preceded by an undergraduate degree from a degree
granting institution accredited by the following listed bodies, or an institution included on the List of
Recognised Qualifications, it is assessed as occupying Level 7 of the Register and will therefore qualify for 50
points.
Honours degrees from degree granting institutions accredited by the following listed bodies are assessed as
occupying Level 7 of the Register and will therefore qualify for 50 points.
