thanks Nick..

I read that book as well.. well worth a read for those that haven't read it,,
The franchise thing was really a knee jerk reaction when we realised the problems we might have with childcare etc in Masterton..

There's still a chance that i might go for it, but as you say, the goddards didn't exactly find it a walk in the park...

My idea was either the car valetting one, or the lawn care one..

But as I HATE both cutting the grass and washing my car, neither really appeals all that much...

I might buy and do up classic british cars and see if I can make a few bob at that...

That bloke who wrote the book, is Taffy's friend isn't he, the business was for sale on here a year or so back. Sure he will confirm when he's back on.

same as you mate, waiting to sell, see other post. Usual frustration that's all. Bit depressing to come to forum when evrythings going so well for everyone else, and have no questions to ask until things start moving again.

Been really busy too tho, doing other stuff.

You could always dole out useful advice to those who need it [smilie=winking laughing.gif] . You've been waiting quite a while to get on the rung of the ladder and must have gleaned a fair bit of information that others would find interesting. There seems to be a big gap left in the forum when you do your disappearing act.

And I'm sure you'll be in NZ well before me, Stevey [smilie=cry.gif] . I'll be left rattling round an empty forum.

I do try and help don't I? You make me sound like selfish, ogre whose grumping at my misfortune and not happy for anyone else hehe.

Least you can visit often MB, just go out for 6 months at a time ennit. I would if I could afford the flights.

Flat broke until we sell as well tho, which just makes things harder. Can't even go on holiday to pass the time since we're a tad overstretched. PLus we wouldn't want to miss any viewings.
It will sell soon tho I'm sure.

Of course you help Stevey, but you were saying you didn't want to come on the forum lately because you didn't have any questions to ask. I was merely implying you still have worth in that you can help others while you're waiting for Lady Luck to smile on you, as I'm sure she will. I know it rankles when others are preparing to go and you're still stuck on the starting line, but your time will come whether it be sooner or later. While you're waiting, house sales are dwindling in NZ, which could mean prices will start to come down shortly. Perhaps the currency exchange will be more favourable as well by the time you're ready. Then you'll be thanking your lucky stars you didn't go earlier.
