Financial advise

I'm new to site so 'Hello everyone'. :006:

My hubby and me are planning to go to NZ in May, his EOI has been sent with 165 points (he has a job offer), we've been advised to get a financial advisor as it could be a costly business without one, we will need to transfer pensions and other monies. Anybody got any advice or recommendations please?

Personally, I wouldn't use a financial adviser - your bank should be able to handle most of your financial matters, and you can sort out getting your pension transferred once in NZ.

They are a very costly and unnecessary expense. I would also advise strongly against using a specialist migration company for all the form filling and contact with the NZIS, for exactly the same reason
