On taffy's recommendation I looked at the National Banks website and found this.

So you can open an account from the UK. :icon_biggrin:

Just be aware that you only have 3 months to activate your account after opening it. Only open and transfer money when you are 100% sure you're leaving within that time!!

so, can I not put money in the bank 6 months previous!
We want to open an account from the uk and put some money, but as we plan to travel asia for 3-4 months prior to arriving havent a time yet when we ill arrive in NZ.
But, its likely to be sept time! :icon_confused:
