One hundred remains the total points needed to immigrate to New Zealand via the Skilled Migrant Category.

In this fortnight?s draw, 935 applications - representing 2,058 people - were selected. These applicants will now undergo preliminary checks. Currently 98 percent of those who have undergone the verification process are invited to apply formally for residence in New Zealand.

For the first time in over a year, the UK is not the largest single source of successful expressions of interest - it has been overtaken by China.

Eh??? Why would they do that...thought they were woefully behind target? Or are they just gonna bump it up to get on top of backlog, before dropping again.

People are always saying the points are going up, but they wont. Not for a long time yet.

I would tend to agree with Stevey and Taffy though.. all the news reports etc I'm reading would seem to indicate the points staying at 100 for a while yet..
