    Default Shortstay Stopovers En Route

How do you go about booking these into the flight. Is it only the travel agent that can do this?

All the online search engines don't seem to have options for say staying in Dubai for threee nights before continuing the jorney. Also does it generally increase the costs alot?

Have you looked at www.travelbag.co.uk ? They were most helpful in booking our few days at Los Angeles, and could have given us a good price on flight tickets too.

I did briefly, is that the one affiliated to lastminute.com?

What is it a phone service or an email service, or just a search engine? I did look but couldn't find any options for stopovers etc.

We looked on their site for places to stay, then rang them rather than book online as we had questions to ask.

Thought you were thinking of going with EVA Air via Taiwan? Wouldn't like to bet they'd stop in Dubai anyway. Don't think they'd divert the plane just so you could get off in Dubai. Emirates is the one if you want a stopover in Dubai, as it's their base country.

Hehe yeah I only suggested Eva as I'd never heard of them and had just found a nice fair price. Also in my example I thought Dubai would be more common a stopover place than Taipei, Taiwan. Was just thinking of the best generic example for the good of the forum when I said Dubai.

Besides if I can I want to fly Emirates as they're arguably the best in the world these days. Certainly on Pacific routes anyway.

EVA is a good airline according to those links I posted previously so you could do worse and Taiwan would be very interesting. Good to consider if you are price watching.

Emirates is very good as well, but Dubai has the tendency to look like a big building site these days with all the appartment blocks going up. Great for shopping though, as there are huge malls. Can be an expensive place and the weather will be pretty hot by April.
