Hi does anyone know what injections my kids will need to be able to attend school here in NZ? They have all the jabs needed in the UK but are there any different ones for here.

    Cheers Sara.

Uk requirements fit the bill, it seems to be parallel programme. They do however encourage a course of three jabs for meningococcal B - your children will no doubt have had jabs for C strain in the UK. The disease is endemic and occurs mainly within the Pacific Islander community ( 1 in every 66 children) and Maori (1 in every 117 children). One in every 438 european or other ethnicity will get the disease before they turn 5 years of age. The South Island has very few cases but thats probably because most of the inhabitants are not P.Is or maori.
I must stress that the jabs are optional but free.
