Mother bear I'm sure you would like Christchurch. Come and visit while your over then go back and convince Taffy. He will have to listen to his Mum. :icon_wink: Better still bring them with you.

[quote:df57e72d41="Welshgirl"]OK, OK.... Ready Brek is too expensive to justify postage on top.... James says Ch/Ch is awesome.... Sara and Ian live there....[/quote:df57e72d41]

You were one of my reasons for wanting to moving to CHCH Sara - see my quote above from earlier. It's not just for the Ready Brek and the Wagon Wheels, honestly :icon_wink:

I've been around long enough, but can't remember them. Thought I would have experienced them, as I do like a good sausage roll. Perhaps they were a Scottish thing, as hubster (also Scottish) thinks he remembers sausage rolls in a tin, but can't remember the name of them.

Sara, don't know if ChCh would be a bit cold for me. Perhaps we should concentrate on getting you up to Hamilton instead.

Welshgirl, you could always visit the shops Glenda mentioned as a treat now and again. If you moved to ChCh to be near the shop there, just think how your food bill will double, as you feel drawn to that shop time and again.

i've realised where I went wrong with my positive about britain..

If I had put the words "shopping" or "buy" in there, ALL the women on here would have been on immediately for Ready Brek ([b:e3e9c3b1dc]TOP TIP[/b:e3e9c3b1dc] break up a cardboard box and sprinkle some milk on it, same flavour..) wagon wheels etc..

Hang on Mummy Bear you are supposed to be helping me. Statistically (SP) :icon_confused: We have had more sunny days than Hamilton. Sad i know, but i've been watching. The temperature might be a bit cooler but it doesn't rain half as much. I don't like rain, I like sunshine. It makes me feel better. :icon_razz: Hurray move to CHCH.

Looks well now if Ian doesn't get a job and we end up moving. I'll never live it down.

Don't want to scare you Sara, or anyone else, but did you see the news article on tv last night about Christchurch school children being drilled in what to do in the event of a tsunami? :icon_eek: They were taking it seriously. OK they have earthquake drills etc. all over the country, but there does seem to be more concern about Christchurch's low level.

Port Hills, Sara? :icon_wink:

I was reading this too:

http://www.ecan.govt.nz/Our+Environm...king-water.htm

Considering we want to live rural/lifestyle, I dont think Cantebury will be for us!

Waikato doesnt have these problems :icon_biggrin:

Hamilton Water Supply:

Taffy, take off those cow coloured glasses of yours ;-)

(the joke being that Waikato is cow country. Even the Waikato Rugby Union is in on the act, their website is mooloo.co.nz) [img:c92fce65e3]http://www.mooloo.co.nz/images%5Cgallery%5CMeetTeam-2.jpg[/img:c92fce65e3]

Look up Rural in the Kiwi Dictionary. You'll find a picture of the Canterbury Plains I'm sure. :icon_cool:

[img:c92fce65e3]http://www.ginini.com.au/nz/cpg/albums/batch/normal_113_1379.jpg[/img:c92fce65e3][img:c92fce65e3]http://203.86.194.7/Images/bestofnztours/rhcanterbury2.jpg[/img:c92fce65e3]

As far as that article.....[list:c92fce65e3]"The future is not looking good [b:c92fce65e3]if we keep allowing communitires[/b:c92fce65e3] to develop on non-secure (unconfined) groundwater," says John Youngston , Christchurch-based South Island Regional Co-ordinator for Drinking Water, with Community and Public Health.[/list:u:c92fce65e3]
IF WE KEEP - that means they can stop it and just want to make people aware of the dangers.

Ecan = ecan't spell. communitries....vecoming

Cantab's are very enthusiastic about their drinking water. They drink the stuff straight from the tap, b/c "it's the purest in the world" - at least that's what they were telling me. Seriously, they prefer tap water to any other water down there. :icon_razz:

They also prefer sheep to any other........oh, nevermind. :icon_eek: :icon_wink: :icon_eek: :icon_wink:
