    Default Booked my flights

After months of quiet, things are now moving!

I finish work in 2 and a half weeks. Will hear from NZ schools whether I've been shortlisted for interview around 17th Oct. Have booked flight for 24th Oct on the hope I'll get one. Am staying with my brother for 2 weeks ( he doesn't know yet as he's holidaying in Australia!). Come home on 8th Nov and hope to fly out with the boys by mid December at the latest.

Haven't sold the house yet but have reduced it by ?8000 as of this week so fingers crossed. My mum thinks I'm mad. Flying to NZ twice in two months................but hey, if you don't stick your neck out??????

I need some advice now just in case I don't have residency by the time I leave in Dec???? What do I need to do? HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!

What stage are you at with your residency application?

Jeez, couldn?t you have a telephone interview to save you flying all that way? Four lots of jetlag in such a short time! Doesn?t bear thinking about.

Well done Fisheress I'm so jealous but really proud. Properly brave of you and I wish you all the luck in the world, not that you'll need it cos it will all be fine.

    Thanks for your support everyone!!!

Mother Bear is right Taffy, I just need the old job offer now! I am very excited about my trip in 2 weeks as I haven't seen my 1 year old neice before and can at last give her a special cuddle. Plus, I'll be able to give my brother the sibling grief he's avoided for many years.

Work is now manic as I've lots to do before I go.they're getting every last penny out of me, I can tell you! It's all becoming very real now! I will update you all on my progress!!!

A great adventure for you in more ways than one, Fisheress. Good luck all round and be sure to let us know how it all goes. We'll be thinking of you.

    Good luck and stay sane.

    Hi there!

Glad to see you are biting the bullet. Let me know how interviews go (and whether you felt it was better GOING for interviews rather than getting job here "blind") etc. If you notice any Chemists looking like they want to retire in a year, tell me!!!! Good luck
