Glad you arrived back OK and great news on the PR. If you get fed up of feeding yourself ( or eating out ??) you know where we are. Pam does a great Sunday roast.

Glad to hear your back 'home' Taffy! :icon_biggrin: I bet it was really strange going back, eh? I don't know how I'd feel - I think it'd really make me realise how good we've got it over here. We don't have any plans to go back to the UK for at least another 2 years, so I'm sure we'll notice a HUGE difference by then. What did you friends and family have to say? What was their reaction? Was it strage to see them all still in the same situations as when you left, and thinking how different your life is now? I wouldn't really know what to expect when we eventually make a trip back - we wouldn't have seen a lot of them for about 3 years or so by then! (Apart from parents and brothers who have been out here already of course...)

Anyway, good to hear you're still enjoying NZ life! You'll have to take a trip down to Welly someday (and actually stay for more than 10 mins this time! :icon_lol: ) so we can catch up - pick a good weekend and we can have a barby too - it's been great weather here in Welly the last few weeks - sat in the garden last weekend and got the bbq out - and this is supposed to be winter! :icon_mrgreen:

Hey Jodie,

In a way, you feel guilty going back to the UK because you find yourself picking holes in the country! Things like litter, smells, sounds, traffic etc all seem to jump out at you, but then you remember that it was once home. Also telling all your friends just how fantastic your new life is, and seeing the looks on their faces as they think you're just picking out all the good bits and leaving out the bad bits.

One day we might make it to Welly and stay! Such a long way to drive for 10 minutes of darkness, then driving home again :icon_biggrin:

We have been that busy since the weekend that this is the first time we have had time to catch up with the forum.

Sunday was such a busy day ( shopping, gardening and decorating ), that Sunday roast was down graded to a chicken curry !! Bet you are glad you didn't venture over to Morrinsville that day Taffy.
