FBI Response Time

How quickly are folks getting their police checks from the FBI? We're in week 10 of waiting, and only 6 weeks away from our Residence Application deadline. The FBI website says to expect it in 6 to 8 weeks :017:, but wasn't sure if it was taking longer with so much energy going into investigating suspicious people.

Of course, as soon as I pester them, the certs will arrive, but if I don't, they'll have fallen behind someone's desk. Phoo.

It just arrived in the mail. Phew! One more puzzle piece in place.

It sure does, though there are still a couple of little bits to go...including our passport renewals. Just a little knuckle-biting going on.

As I expected, both of our police checks came stamped "No Arrest Record". Though I was wondering if something might have happened that they hadn't told us about before :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif . But I was rather hoping there would be a gold star for being such upstanding citizens. The bad kids get all the attention :022:
