Day 23 of my holiday - weather has improved, but had a horrible experience coming back from Poole yesterday. Not only did I have to negotiate the M5, but it rained like I've never seen before so it was pretty scary on the way back to Cardiff. Once we hit the Severn Bridge however, the clouds miraculously disappeared and out came the sun!

11 days to go and counting until I go back to my beloved New Zealand (with Residency - yay!). I hear spring is well and truly in the air there now, so I shall be looking forward to more sunshine!

Well, I'm off to sit in the garden (on my own :icon_cry: ) and make the most of the sun before the forecasted rain starts.....

Hi all,

We've just got back from a month in the south of France in our camper van (our last major European holiday before we move to NZ next year). Although we haven't been away that long, I can identify with everything Welshgirl said in her first post.

After four weeks of glorious weather and trouble free motoring, the shock of rain and the M25 on a bank holiday weekend was enough to make me ring an estate agent and arrange a valuation within minutes of getting home!!

I too got back from a wonderful (noy) holiday in Cornwall, we refused to pay 400 quid for a freaking caravan, so thought we'd camp. Bought tent bought air matress, tent leaked air matress broke, and it was barely sunny just 2 days of rain and those irritaing cloudy sunshiny showery wind days!! Bliss!!!!!

I hate it, I just hate it every day gets more depressing and now the winters coming, it's all downhill until house sells.
At least we won the cricket :icon_cry:
