Police Check

Hi all, Im new to the forum and was wondering has anyone had to do have a police check done for character reference to go with there immigration forms?? Me and my partner are flying out in the middle of september and we still have'nt sent these off, we also have our medical booked for the 22nd of july, if anyone has done the police check do you remember the time frame in which they were returned? I am going to Hawkes Bay, I have signed for Napier City Rovers and the season begins in October, I've played professionally all my life and im looking forward to getting to NZ. Any info on Hawkes Bay would be much appreciated also. Thanks, Lee.

I'd get your requests for police checks in as soon as possible if you are leaving mid-September - they are legally obliged to send a response to you within 40 days, although often it is sooner. They cost us ?10 each - just approach your local police station and they will point you in the right direction.

Glen, I was merely keeping the post on topic, all the other stuff was irrelevant, it's not like I didn't delete 'all' irrelevant posts. You've gotta remember that newbies to the site want to browse the topics and get to the information they want fast. All our chatter is great for the spirit of the site but after a day or so, it becomes void so deleting it is the right course I think. Thats why I placed more emphasis on keeping the thread on topic than keeping the peace, hostile posts do not create a good vibe for the site so get deleted, simple.

Now I've gotta delete all this in a bit hehe. Damn You :icon_biggrin:
