Default Job offers

Does anybody know whether the NZIS check your job offer with your prospective employer whilst checking EOI details or after you submit the ITA. My husband has been offered a job but his future employer is out of the country for 2 months which will coincide with our submitting the EOI.

Just waiting for confirmation of professional registration then we can get the ball rolling :icon_biggrin:

Does the application get processed faster if there is a job offer, if so, any idea what the time scale is?

Many Thanks

Thats one of those 'sometimes' things. They havent checked my job exists with my boss, but I expect they do with some. It probably depends on whether anything in a persons application is suspicious, as to whether they take the time to check on their job offer.

Thanks Taffy, nothing should look suspicious. I was just hoping it would be checked for the ITA as he'll be back in NZ by then, don't want anything holding up the EOI to ITA timescale - just very impatient I'm afraid!!

You could send them a note with the EOI letting them know what's up - it could win you brownie points for being so up front , as well as circumventing a potential glitch. Good luck.
