    Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me if NZIS insist on Children having the MMR jab prior to emmigrating?
We have two children, a boy 3 1/2 and a girl 15 months. When Elliott had his jab (after much deliberation) he suffered a severe reaction and nearly died :icon_sad: (stopped breathing).
we obviously have concerns about Bethany having the Jab and just wondered if NZIS insist on innoculations being up to date :icon_question:

    Hi,

I dont think NZIS are so concerned, it's more the schools that will be the problem. Our daughters school was very reluctant to let her start until we proved she had received all the vaccinations.

Can't you get the 3 done as separate injections? It may be the combined vaccine that caused the problem. But hey, I know nothing about medicine!

If you are looking for a Single Vaccine Clinic the http://www.jabs.org.uk/ site has a automated email that will send you a list of clinics in the UK.

    Cheers,

    Chris.

    Hi

My daughter has not had the MMR jab and it has not been an issue with the school.

I would guess maybe that different schools may have different policies on these sorts of issues :icon_confused:

It might become an issue if there's an outbreak of measles though.
