Covering letter

What are they looking for in the covering letter. What should I include here. I dont want to mess this up. Any tips will be welcomed.

I don't think there's any set formula, but when I sent mine I included:


1. A brief intro about how pleased I was to be making my formal application

2. A summary of the documents included (passports, medical certicificates, birth certificates etc). I pinned a full list to the bundle of originals and another to the photocopies. You should have received a sheet with your ITA about the order to stack supporting documents.

3. A bit about my work plans, my attempts to find work.

One last thought......

Are you going to post it? If so, have you spoken with your NZIS case officer at all? Mine changed in the time it took to complete the ITA and I sent it to an empty desk...... :icon_lol:
