Well as I posted recently so you may know we are currently on holiday in NZ.

I have just checked the website and our decision was succesful and our ITA is on its way. Such good news to get while we are over here.

Thanks for both of your replies.

NZ is a lovely country, as we expected really.

We have travelled around a little but have sort of decided on Auckland. This is the best place for jobs, mainly for my husband. I don't really think I will have too much of a problem from what the agencies have told us.

We thought it would be best to come at the worst time to get a real feel, as anywhere is lovely when the sun is shining. When we first arrived the weather was really nice, sun shining and reasonably warm. Then after a few days it was constant rain! This is their winter so I suppose fairly similar to England. We live in Spain so we thought we would really feel the cold, but it hasn't been that bad. We have been staying in motels and have found them excellent. Very clean and well equipped. The Kiwis are very, very friendly.

The traffic, especially in Auckland, has been a lot worse that we thought.

Eating out seems to be about the same as UK.

So all in all we are having a great time and enjoying being here.
