    Default Multiple entry visa?

    Hi guys

Just wondered, when do we need to apply for multiple entry visa, and who do we apply to? Will the travel agent advise when we book return flights?

As you're going on a 6 month visitors permit, your outward ticket needs to reflect that. Depending on your airline, you can change the return date to something else at a later stage, sometimes for free. We flew with Singapore airlines, and they allow us any return time within 12 months of arrival, and will change your date for free.

If you are not leaving for 11 months, then I wouldnt concern yourselves with multiple entry visas for now. By the time that 11 months is up you could well have changed to work permits, and maybe even residency! Whichever permit you are on at the time you want to go back, will need its accompanying multiple entry visa so you can return.

If you're on visitors permits, you'll need a mulitple entry visitors visas, if you are on a work permit you will need a multiple entry work visas (and the kids will need multiple entry student visas), and if you have residency, you are automatically granted a 2 year returning residents visa so there would be no further application.

Sorry that I go on a bit, just trying to slip in info for the masses!
