Default Kiwi passport - can my family come with me ?

Hi,
I've a NZ passport (needs re-newing) and also a British passport. I've been living in the UK for about 17 years but I'm thinking of coming back to NZ for a 6 month look-see, and want to bring my husband (married 6 years) and 2 young children with me. I've looked at the official NZ immigration website, and I'm a bit confused.

Could they all apply for a NZ passport and keep dual citizenship ? IS this the easiest way to get us all over there ?

Thanks

Hi Twokids
I am sort of in the same position, i hold both passports and am taking my girlfriend to NZ to live in June.

You as a NZ'er will have to sponsor your husband and children. You can get all the forms of the NZ immigration website. Your husband will have to have a medical certificate(from the panel doctors) a police certificate and you have to show that you have been in a relationship with your husband for over a year. may sound odd but you have to show loads of evidence.
Its about ?100 ishh for the medical but it may have gone up, ?30 for the police papers and ?460 for the admin fee for NZ immigration.
As its just me and my partner i can only advise on that as for your children i am not sure.

Thanks for that. Any idea what the max. length of stay is as a normal tourist (we're not planning to work, just do a complete reccie and enjoy the lifestyle).
