Default A quick question???

I recieved my ITA today, one of the things I have been asked is to provide proof of my marraige....I can do this ok, however, it also asks for proof my husband has lived with me for past 12 months.....My tenancy is in my name and always has been as this is my second time of being married. I have been married twelve years!!! Most of the bills are in my name also, my husband has lettters such as his bank statements and wage slips, will this be sufficient proof?

Hi Laura,

The council tax should be in both names. :icon_biggrin: How about life insurance policies ?

I think it would be OK if your OH has bank statements etc with the same address on it, cause they only want to know that you've been living together for the last 12 months.

Unfortunately, all of the bills are in my name.....We both have seperate bank accounts also.....due to previous relationships we agreed to keep our own bank accounts.... as the years passed we never saw the need to change things, never thought it would be a problem. His statements etc all have the correct details. Our bank manager or doctor may be able to verify this, what do you think? We also get letters jointly from schools etc.

Hopefully we will gain enough evidence that we are together....maybe some photos!!!!

Why is life so complicated?????? I just want to be able to move ASAP and settle for a new life in NZ. :icon_mrgreen:

Default A quick question???

Hi,

Any letter with joint names on it is better than nothing. The school letter will be perfect. A letter from the doctor would also help.

We are including photos etc. We're actually getting married in Nov, so I've included a letter from the registrar :icon_mrgreen:
