Working holiday visa US vs. UK

a little confused,

Is the working holiday visa different coming from the US? i thought it is only valid for 3 months after arrival?

If I cannot get a job offer to get a Tempory Work Visa, i'm planning on going on the WHV. Does anyone know how long it takes to get one in the U.S.?

Hi,
The permit that lasts 3 months is the holiday permit. The WHV is 12 months.
