Long Term vs. Immediate Skill Shortage List

Hi,

Does anybody know if having an occupation in the Immediate skill shortage list grants you some bonus points or not? Are bonus points only reserved for the Long Term skill shortage list? Any experiences?

Hi,
For residency, extra points are only awarded for the Long Term Skilled Shortages List. The Short Term list is only for obtaining work permits.

By the way do you have any idea how high NZ Immigration could elevate a passmark for the Skilled Migrant? They are about to do it, aren't they?

It could go as high as they wanted it to. The points started off at something like 195!

I dont think it will be changing soon, unless they have a very good reason as they are too down on numbers already.
