    Default Job Searching

I guess this question is for the people who are already in the green and pleasant land. Other than Seek and NetCheck how do people generally go a about searching for Jobs. Do they have Job Centres and Job Papers or is it different. I looked on the New Zealand Herald Website and found very few opportunities?
    Cheers for your help

    Hi,
A great many companies advertise in their own regional newspapers. The NZ Herald job section online is pretty poor, but the paper itself gets packed out with jobs.

It could well be worth getting some kind of subscription for a regional paper in the area you are thinking of moving to. For Auckland, NZ Herald, for Waikato, Waikato Times etc etc

The NZ equivalent to the Job Centre is Work and Income NZ, http://www.workandincome.govt.nz - They have a 'Job Bank' for work all over New Zealand, but they are mostly typical job centre jobs, such as manual labour, shop assistants or drivers. Sometimes they have good jobs, but not very often at all.
