Qualification confirmation

I left college in 1984 with a diploma and have had my qualification assesed by NZQA and it qualifies for 50pts. Which is great. However..... I don't have a copy of the certificate from 21 years ago. I am still in the same industry of graphics.
I sent off in early Feb to the UK qualification authority for a duplicate/confirmation, they have contacted me to let me know they're looking but as it's so old and on microfiche they're struggling to find even my name on their records. I've named a few people on my course to help guide them. It's been nearly 2 months since the request and still no news (they did say 1 month).
I also contacted my original college which has since changed it's name, moved building and they don't hold details from that far back either.
Has anyone else had this problem and if it's gone into some black hole what happens then as will I need send these off the the NZQA :icon_sad: ?????

Has anything turned up yet? I dont really know the answer to your original question. There must be a record of your qualification held somewhere, else we could all just print our own degrees!

Nothing yet, I'm totally at a loss of what to do. I've contacted the college again, but got nowhere, sent numerous emails requesting they look harder, I've gone through the examination board Edexcel where you pay to get your a record of your details but got knowhere. (which I imagine the NZQA would have to do to access my qualification), I've already had it assessed at NZQA online and it qualifies for 50pts. It's a pity I don't know any one else on the course but it was 20 years ago.
I'm at as loss of what to do next other than take a 2 year course (i don't think so).

It might be a long shot and I've not looked for ages to see if the website is still up and running but have you tried friends reunited for your college to see if anybody on your course has registered??
