Shouold be fine with food and entertainment. I know some of the planes have even got computers where the kids can play people from all over the plane, lets face it the airline have got to cater for this kind of thing or it would be impossible to travel with the kids. It's bad enough going to spain let alone long haul flights.

My Dad's just come back from Hong Kong. Lots of room even in Pleb Class, each seat had its own screen, you can watch movies, or check geography and progress on a map - like the red line in the film Indianna Jones :icon_biggrin:

If it is Singapore Airlines you are flying with, the food is quite oriental, lots of noodles and things like Thai green curry etc. The food in Changi (Singapore airport) is a lot more varied and I'm pretty sure I spotted a Burger King there too.

Anyone thinking of flying with Air New Zealand may be disappointed as they only have one main screen in each section, no individual screens per seat. Air NZ say this will be changing this year, with their fleet being upgraded.

Default Flying

Anyone had any experience of doing the trip with British Airways? What sort of entertainment etc. do they have?

Cheers

Ouch...Air New Zealand is tacky. Thats shocking for a long haul flight. How about malaysian airlines they're cheapest by a long way but in the top 5 airlines in the world at the moment. Anyone flown with them?

Default Singapore Airport

The airport has everything you need, but the best is the ability to have a shower. It only costs about $10 Singapore (?3.00) and after 12 hours is very welcome. :icon_lol:

Malaysia are great. Most (like Singapore) have the individual entertainment system.
If you can get with Virgin on any part of the trip (either via Hong Kong, LA or Sydney), some of their newly refurbished planes have a new system in economy which is better than most airlines' first class. It an "on Demand" system with maybe 20 or 30 times the choice of films and programs.
I have had this system 3 times this year already with on flights to LA, so I don't know how widespread it is through the fleet.
Oh, and LA is dreadful for a stopover airport! KL, HK or Changi are the best I've found.
Hope this is of use!

Default flights with three children!

Hi,
Were travelling with Thai Air in Dec.
Had a look at their website, but it doesnt say anything about the plane interiors, i.e, individual tv screens etc. Our kids are 4 and 7, so quite a long time to try and keep them entertained :icon_confused:
If anyone could give me a hint to what the food is like too we'd be most grateful :icon_biggrin:
Were stopping in Bangkok for 2 hours, so the airport isnt really a concern (unless theres delays :icon_rolleyes: ).
Thanks x
