Hi,

If you submit your ITA after 4th April your medical will have to include (among other things) a 'bi-manuel internal examination' for women over the age of 35. If your a chap over the age of 50 you'll have to have a rectal examination.

In actual fact, we had them back today - only one more piece of paper to go and our application is on it's way. Fingers crossed.

So what has New Zealand suddenly got against women?

Can't believe these new medicals, seems like NZIS think they made the EOI too easy, so are putting people off with these new medicals...

Of Course! They know women usualy have the final word in big decisions, so are making the medicals horrible for them to put them off coming!

Ever the conspiracy theorist....

Hey - mucxh as I'd hate to have the full medical 'thing', it still wouldn't put me off - I can't wait to get there.

We have just had an update on how much this new medical will cost. For our family of three is ?950!!!!

Absolutely staggered by this as I am sure some of you will be. What do you do though? It really has got you over a barrel.

Default Medical costs

After reading some of these notes regarding cost of medicals I suggest that some of you take another foreign trip to Wales before you head for NZ.

We have booked our for the 7th April, (couldn't get in before) and have been quoted ?462 for 2 adults and 2 children under 12yrs, This includes 2 x-rays.

What I am concerned with is the BMI >30.... to low for a short, stocky Welshman. I wouldn't like to miss out my new adventure for this reason only. Has anyone got any information on this issue to put my mind to rest.

PS. don't send me diet plans I'm working on one!!!!!
