cheap flights

Can anyone recommend any good websites for booking flights. I keep finding what I think to be a good site, but the links tend to send you on a wild goose chase as when you follow the links to the other websites, the original quote does not stand and instead of the ?500 return quoted it is at least ?800.
We are looking to be going in the next month for a holiday, for around 3 weeks.

Thomas Cook now has a direct buisness which cuts out the branch, thus you dont have to pay the 11% branch commission. The phone number is 0870 566 6222...Thomas Cook direct.

You could also try www.travelbag.co.uk or www.trailfinders.co.uk both based in London.

Going direct to the airline websites can work out much more expensive, unless they have special offers on. Singapore have one now, so try http://www.singaporeair.com

Be careful checking the flight details as you may wind up with an unwanted stopover in Singapore! (Unless you actually DO want one!)

Yes I agree Taffy. I am a travel agent and know that the likes of Cook, Travelbag etc are able to offer cheaper prices more often than not due to the sheer volume of tickets they sell, they buy in bulk basically.

If its any use, a week or so back Malaysia had flights for about ?620 inc tax.
And the stopover could be in Langkawi which isn't the worst...
Also, bear in mind AirNZ is generally via LA, and even for transit passengers its a bit of a pain at the mo. (I'm there every month unfortunately).
