Campervan holiday in April

Hi,

we are hoping to go to the North Island for a holiday/recce in April and im wondering if the campsites will still be open and if anyone can reccommend and good ones to stay at/must see locations etc.

There's a whole conversation about camping and where's where to stay, so hopefully it will be of use.

My partner and I went to NZ last year in May. We had a motorhome and we loved every minute of it. Everything is still open and running. We stayed in the Top Ten holiday parks cause we believed they had the best facilities and were in every place we visited. I would highly recommend going to Taupo and staying at the top ten park there. They have 5 star facilites and the area is just beautiful.
